Tissue Paper Bleeding

This week we made beautiful Hot Air Balloons using a new technique called Tissue Paper Bleeding.

After a long discussion about travel, the children wondered what it would be like to travel in a hot Air Balloon.

After learning about hot air balloons we decided to create a piece of artwork using tissue paper and water.

We decorated our Balloons with torn up tissue paper and wet it with a brush.

The water causes the tissue paper to bleed out its dye onto the sheet underneath. We think they are amazing!.
