The science of chocolate in Senior Infants

Senior infants had great fun doing science this week! We looked at the effects of heat on chocolate! We put some chocolate in the shade, in the sun, beside the radiator and in the microwave! We estimated how long we thought it would take for the chocolate to melt in the microwave. The chocolate didn’t melt in the shade but it went soft. It melted really quickly in the microwave (2 minutes) and we then used it to make Rice Krispie buns! Big thanks to the 6th class girls for helping us with our experiment and writing down our guesses!
