Rain Gauges experiments

Senior Infants have been learning all about the weather and capacity at home! As a science (weather) and maths (capacity) experiment they made some rain gauges. A rain gauge helps us measure how much rain falls over a certain length of time! Seniors were lucky that when they made these that they didn’t get too much rainfall so they didn’t fill up too high!

Some of the Senior Infants changed their experiment a little and decided to look at how water evaporates in the bottle when it is in the sun and when it is in the shade! How clever are they!
