Our 6th class pupils are actively involved in a range of exciting eTwinning projects that connect our school with children across Europe, helping them learn about different cultures while building friendships and confidence through shared experiences.
As part of Winter Wishes – Global Bridges, pupils exchanged Christmas cards and festive messages with partner schools in Crete and Valladolid, Spain. This was a lovely opportunity for pupils to spread kindness, practise communication skills and experience the joy of receiving post from other European countries.
Through Our Town, Sport & History, pupils are currently collaborating with schools in France and Italy, exploring what makes their local communities special through sport, history and everyday life. This project was proudly awarded First Prize in the Léargas National Thematic Awards, along with a €500 voucher for the school, recognising the high quality of learning and international collaboration taking place.
Pupils are also involved in Active Minds, Creative Hearts, where they work with a partner school in Italy to explore creativity, wellbeing and active learning through shared activities.
These projects allow our pupils to develop global awareness, digital skills and a strong sense of connection beyond the classroom, while celebrating the values of cooperation, creativity and community.
