The children are loving learning about the Arctic this month.  They are exploring Arctic animals, the environment, and the people who live there. In role play, the children are living in the Arctic, building shelters, fishing, and finding food with their trusted husky dogs. In the sensory area, they are discovering Arctic animals and enjoying the sensory feel of the “snow.” With playdough, they are making food, animals, and equipment, while in arts and crafts they are cutting, colouring, and creating Arctic habitats. In construction, they are building fantastic igloos and sledges to help them navigate the Arctic. What a fun and engaging learning experience!
