The Model School had 3 teams, 2 boys and 1 girls, in the  County Primary Schools badminton competition. There were 8 schools, 27 teams and over 100 competitors.

The children had a wonderful day of fun, friendship and badminton and showed great determination and skill.  The girls got to the semi final and came 4th in the girls section and the boys team (Darragh, Alex, Gavin & David P) got to the final. Unfortunately they were beaten by a narrow margin and came runner-up in the boys section.

The children are members of St. Mary’s badminton club and special thanks to all the coaches.  Shirley Parr & Linda Hill once again organised the County Schools competition. Thanks also to Mr Huston who supervised and mentored the children at the competition in the Watershed.
